Greektown is a neighborhood located
in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The neighborhood is bounded by Lombard Street to the north, South Haven to the west,
and I-895 to the east. A long stretch of Eastern Avenue runs through the neighborhood.
Greektown has been home to a thriving Greek American community for over 80+ years. The neighborhood is home to many
Greek restaurants, and to the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. It is home to the annual Baltimore Greek Festival and
Parade.
This community
includes world renowned Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. It is served by four bus lines, two railroads, 1-95,
the Harbor Tunnel, the Fort McHenry Tunnel as well as major city thoroughfares. The restaurants of Canton are within
a five minute drive and downtown shopping areas are about 10 minutes away.
